How It's
Done
This newsletter now
consists of three separate lists (one for each
format) on a Lyris List server with a custom
Perl interface that makes the three lists
transparent and appear as one to all subscribers
—very cool, and frankly, a bit of work!
Also, you now have instant
access to all the great online ideas, tips,
tricks, and strategies found in all previous
editions of ePOWER! News and the monthly surveys!
Just check out the Archives section on the right
hand column.
And, to make your search for
the "gold" buried in those archives that much
easier, we've included a very powerful
site-specific search engine located at the top
right of every issue. Go ahead and try it out —and
see how fast, comprehensive, and relevant the
results are!

How It's
Done
I've implemented the free
version of
PicoSearch which I use on my other
sites. While the search box / button design is
custom, the rest of the implementation is fairly
straightforward and explained well by the
PicoSearch folks upon sign up. By the way, this is
the same site-specific search engine I mention in
my Main Article below…
Another feature to help us
provide better value to you is the use of the
OnlineOpinion content rating service. You can see
it at the bottom right of the main page and every
article page as well. When you click this icon [+]
the following box will popup allowing you to rate
the content of that particular page and even post
your comments. This is a very powerful and
non-intrusive way to make sure we are providing
you only the highest value content. (NOTE: for the
techies in the crowd it was easy to install, and
will be covered in a future issue of ePOWER!
News).
