VA CORNER: (full story)
Virtual Coaches Help You With The "What" And Take
Care Of The "How" ...
Katherine Butler, with Long and Foster, had only
been in the real estate business a handful of
years and needed to establish her style of
business. Her conundrum? —how to handle phone
calls and office tasks while spending the majority
of her day out in the field with clients
generating new business. She found herself so busy
"doing" things that she felt the need for outside
perspective to help her see the big picture.
As her virtual coach, Katharine Lambeth of
Virtual Rescue, helped her gain perspective on
how to streamline her operations and put systems
in place to make it all happen. Now thanks to her
coach, Ms. Butler has a VA who creates attractive
marketing pieces, schedules inspections, and
quarterbacks the appointments. In addition to
laying out what needed to be done, her virtual
coach also helped her implement it —which saved
her an enormous amount of time and frustration.
Most people know what a "coach" is. This is
someone who objectively helps you determine where
you are, where you want to go, and helps you
obtain a clear picture of how you are going to get
there. Coaches tend to focus on specific areas
such as business, life, sales, etc. and in most
cases don't actually help you implement the
necessary processes (they leave that little detail
up to you). Virtual Coaches (i.e. VAs who are also
coaches) however, do have the ability to help you
with the implementation —a vital distinction from
traditional coaches.
It is an awesome feeling to be able to step
back and survey a well laid out plan designed to
have you reach your life and business goals. It's
even better when you have someone at your side
(virtually speaking) that goes beyond just telling
you what to do, by helping you put that plan into
action.
