ePOWER TIP: (full story)
Domain Name Costs Drop Even Lower ...
I always keep my eye open for the best deals in domain names and I’ve found a registrar that is even 22% less than GoDaddy. Just how low can they go?
—apparently quite a bit.
The use of domain names is clearly an indispensable part of any successful online marketing strategy. In fact, it is not uncommon for real estate professionals to own and use dozens of domains.
Yet it still amazes me that some of these otherwise very smart people are still paying
US$30 - $35 per year per domain name —what a waste! Especially when you can now purchase domain names for only
US$6.95 at
Hostway.com (as of this writing).
I've made a habit of keeping an eye out for the least expensive domain registrars and have used
GoDaddy.com for the last year or so because of their
US$8.95/domain/year pricing. While working with GoDaddy has been great,
US$6.95 represents a 22% savings —not insignificant if you happen to own many domains.
Any registrar that tries to convince you that their services are "worth" the extra $25 or so per year is just plain full of it. High volume registrars like GoDaddy have the same services, they are just more efficient at providing them.
P.T. Barnum had a great way of describing people who pay way too much —a classification in which you definitely don't want to be included! |
