Web Meetings That Keep On Giving ...

You have heard me extol the benefits of using GoToMeeting as an awesome Web meeting tool that allows you and your clients/prospects to view the same screen in real time no matter where they are located. Read on to see how the new GoToMeeting 2.0 allows you to take your meetings to the next level and have them work for you even after you shut off your computer!

All You Can Meet

Created by the same wizards who make GoToMyPC, GoToMeeting is a very simple, easy to use and affordable way to share your computer with up to 10 other people at the same time. Unlike most other Web meeting solutions, GoToMeeting's pricing is (currently) $468/year for all the Web meetings you want to have, with no extra charges for minutes or number of attendees. This makes it a perfect solution for working with clients and prospects that can't meet with you in person, yet you need to share something visual from your computer, a situation that frequently arises with relocation clients.

Now recently released version 2.0 of GoToMeeting greatly extends these capabilities and you can try it free for 15 days.

Meet Once, Review Anytime

Any time you need to demonstrate something to your support staff or even your clients, it is nice to know that you only have to do it once. GoToMeeting 2.0 gives you this freedom because it will let you record your conversation and screen sharing of your Web meetings. It saves a video of the meeting in Windows Media Player format which can then be posted on your Website or burned to a CD/DVD for future playback.

This is perfect for training new members of your team (onsite or virtual) or demonstrating how to use some aspect of your Website to your clients or prospects. CLICK HERE to download (4.5mbs)and play the video example of what a saved Web meeting video looks and sounds like. (NOTE: you will need Window Media Play 9.0 or later to play it —also, it is best viewed "full-screen" during playback.)

Here is something to keep in mind. If you want to record audio during your Web meeting you will need a device that will interface with your phone and the sound board of your computer. You can get an inexpensive one at Radio Shack (item #: 43-228A) that will do the trick nicely.

The ability to hold Web meetings is clearly changing the way we work with clients, prospects and even our own staff. Now GoToMeeting 2.0 gives us the ability to save that meeting for viewing over the Web at any time. This means that location and time is irrelevant when it comes to having important meetings —now that's progress!
