What feature(s) would you most like to see in a Web site template service?

Respondant Number Response
ability to make changes and additions myself.
flexibility including the ability not to use the templates
ability to edit as often as necessary
ability to add html language to site
Those that AdvancedAccess provide.
n/a
Simplicity.
Easy to use, and inexpensive
Free newsletter and report option.
Complete Listing Integration. Quality Lead Capturing Tools
more active registrations of consumers who visit - the PropertySource e-newsletter and e-sweepstakes option help make this happen!
Something like SOARMLS which allows users to get regular e-mail updates of new listings, without requiring any intervention (or time) from me.
I would like to see a company like Microsoft develop drop dead killer template sites and I would like to be the one helping them as well as helping them program the back-end of those sites - thereby blowing the ilead sites plum out of the water and providing real estate agents with the right tools to work like they really should be working to be effective in their real estate careers. Can you help?

Now, I know this isn't your typical reply -but if you want typical replies, don't ask me! Guess who :-)
Ability for automatic email followup.
They offer everything we need. I like the ability to create my own links for homes I have sold so that I can drive customers, their friends and family to my site to see their new purchase.
Replace websuite.com's stuff !
listing database that automatically posts to Yahoo, Homeadvisor, etc.
inexpensive and flexible
The ones they have, like being able to upload and update my listings, free reports, links, and their upgrade bulletin board is wonderful.
Total flexibility - especially in designing or renaming hot buttons & guest book registration on all screens with the flexibility to edit the text on the registration window.
The ability to change all of my own information directly from my website-not going in with another code. A variety of information already written and able to put in and change as needed.
Follow up after the Realtor has bought the site. Most template firms just forget the Realtor. Advanced Access and a few others STICK WITH the agent, supporting him with tips, hints on marketing and every month tweaking the site to come up even better on search engines.
Stablity of a company! How about submitting to search engines (more than 2x yr) for the hosting fee
background and frame flexiblity
Movement that keeps someone interested, but not distracted. Great colors and style that is very appealing.
Easy of use and flexabilty
Ability to make changes in minutes in real time, online.
Honesty
quick,fast and easy changes.
The ability to get it up and running easily and to be able to upload photos and make changes to all the info quickly and without a huge learning curve.
The features that I have in my site are the ability to add, edit, and changed my listings (I keep my Sold's on there to!), free reports to email out as autoresponders, adding links, adding local businesses, and they have a GREAT stats report. It tells me where the hits are coming from, to what page, and keeps records for a year.

I had Websuite, but I stopped and signed onto advancedaccess. They also made my site searchable for the engines, and people are finding me much better!
Hosting of an additional 1 to 3 pages of user created content included, or hosting additional whole user sites at additional cost on connected servers linked to the template.
Easy way to add listings
Service is easy to use and they provide great customer service.
flexibility as well as affordability
the auto-record of client information is really a big help and should be offered by more companies.
Easy to adapt to own needs. This way you and I can use the same template, but mine looks a lot different from yours because I am a different person/entity than you are.
High positioning at all the search engines.
Automated services easy to set -up but keep the user at your site.
School links
marketing & ability to really customize colors - not choose from a few colors - not too difficult toset up
WebSuite has a "great" site. I hope it stay in business.
http://johnadamsdenverhomes.com
Deep content constantly updating
availability to search www.realtor.com, 2nd my local broker reciprocity site, a continuing stream of leads to work with is actually MOST important.
tech support that will take correspondance, phone call, other then post changes (other than text changes that do not requre html) so I do not have to learn a new career of site maintenance.
abililty to add change about everything there
1-good instructions for updating. 2-variety of page formates/templates. 3-creativity - such as the animation & music backgrounds on the eflashtech site. 4- reasonable pricing.
lots of variety
the ability to change items, flexible, different setups.
Many custom-like color and design options so the sites look different, not cookie cutter.
everything that homes.com is currently offering...
Flexibility, Supportive techs,
effective marketing, responsive customer service. Step by step guides to create web site.
CONSISTENT UPDATES AND CHANGING OF LOOKS IN MINOR WAY
Pretty much what ihouse2000 provides.

Maybe more menu choice (graphics). When I inquired to a tech person if there were any more than what was on the menu, he said no, but if I found one I liked, they would put it in as a choice for me.

I also think that (for their sake) they should show samples of live sites (they have samples, but they are dummy sites).

I also believe that one of the most ingenious marketing things they did was the "test drive". I am curently working on my "test site" and have not paid a penny to date. They give you 2 weeks, but I asked for more time (about a month) to get my site the way I wanted, which they granted.

Just a note: This is not my main site, but I am using a lot of the features from it for my main site. For me, this is a terrific second (or third) site. The excuse of "it costs too much" or is "too difficult to do" is now out the proverbial window.
ease and simplicity and help in using html codes
Ability to update site anytime
